Magic, do as you Will
Taken from the 1982 animated movie, The Last Unicorn, 'Magic, do as you will.' is said by the inconsistent wizard Schmendrick. I always took this quote to mean a release of control, and instead as proposing a request for collaboration with the world around him. For independent action and independent hope separately can only get you so far; but together, thats magic.
These paintings use story–book fantasy images as a way to express the human experience of identity, desire, and yearning for both the known and unknown. Whether people are able to relate or be entertained by the visuals presented, I hope people can connect with the works.
